Are you looking for a card with puns but still with a high-brow literary edge? Well…we can give you puns.
Our fabulous artist, Cat, has perfectly illustrated the key plot points of one of the great works of literature.
We made the card so you don’t have to read the book.
Set in the great pea famine of the 1800s, the work depicts the struggles of the bunnies and the pigs during this difficult time of revolution. It will have you Russia-ing out to get a card. It also has the added benefit of being much quicker to read than the original.
In War and Peace Leo Tolstoy said that there were only two sources of human vice: idleness and superstition….Far be it from us to dispute him, but we believe we’ve found a third; Puns.
Fun Fact: Liz has read War and Peace, she bought it in a train station because it was the best value of word for wonga! Cat has not read it…as you may be able to tell from this card.
Just wait till we get onto Dostoyevsky.
